Upon completing the program you will receive two certificates by regular mail. One certificate, will be marked "COURT COPY", it is a blue certificate with the Texas State Seal, please sign it and give it to the court. You will also receive a certificate marked "INSURANCE COPY". You can use this certificate for a discount on auto insurance, 10 % on a major portion for three years. Many people don't turn this certificate in because they don't want their insurance company to know they had a ticket and they had it dismissed.

The reason you are taking this course is to have your ticket dismissed so that it will not be counted against you in any way. The insurance industry gives these discounts to you as a reward for taking the class instead of paying the fine. They would much rather have you take a class and learn one or two little things that may end up saving thousands of lives and or money. They are rewarding you for everything you have gone through, six hours of your time, court fees, ordering your driving record, etc. The Insurance Industry wants you to take this class and learn a little instead of paying for the fine and learning nothing.
